God My Vital Need

Psalm 27:8 ~ (amp) You have said, Seek my face [inquire for and require MY presence as your vital need]. My heart says to you, Your face ( Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word]. Seek my face [inquire for and require MY presence as your vital need].

Definition of VITAL:

full of life and vigor existing as a manifestation of life concerned with or necessary to the maintenance of life …

as in… 1. vital organs 2. blood and other vital fluids 3. communion with God

fundamentally concerned with or affecting life or living beings…

as in … 1. to renew 2. refresh the living 3. invigorating

Jeremiah 2:32 Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Yet My people have forgotten Me, days without number!

Do you feel, as I sometimes do…. lifeless, loss of my vitality? I have found the cause and effect of this problem. Going without  any time or very little time seeking God as my “VITAL” need or necessity for life!

Because life is found in the blood according to Leviticus 17:11….without that precious blood we cannot survive in this life…. medically or spiritually.

I went through some health related problems some years back. Due to a surgery I had, my body was unable to draw my vital nutrients from the food I ate. I became severely vitamon deficient, dehydrated and anemic.  My body was not getting it’s vital need! I became weak, lethargic, tired, unable to take care of myself.

This can happen in our spiritual life as well, when we are not getting our nourishment needed to maintain a strong and healthy spiritual walk. Our life is in the blood…our blood and the blood of Jesus. Our vital need must be found in Him.  He says to us, “Seek my face”, …we must answer Him with, “Your face, Lord, will I seek” …for you are my vital sustenence.  Seek Him daily as your vital need….and grow stronger in Him.

~ ~ ~ by the way…do you “know” my Savior, Jesus?
